Dr. Paulette Dillard, President
Paulette R. Dillard, Ph.D., the 18th President of Shaw University, is a scientist, educator and astute businesswoman. Prior to her appointment as president, Dr. Dillard served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College of Arts
and Sciences. Among Dr. Dillard’s many board affiliations are the Dorothea Dix Conservancy, and Carolina Small Business Development Fund. She has been involved with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center since inception.
Dr. Dillard earned a B.S. in biology from Barber Scotia College, an M.S. in biology from Tennessee State University, an MBA from the Jack Massey School of Business at Belmont University, and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and completed postdoctoral
training at the Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University.
