Shaw Students Attend 2019 HBCU Career Development Marketplace
Four Shaw University students attended the 2019 HBCU Career Development Marketplace conference in Baltimore, MD from October 28- 31. The students placed seventh in a public speaking competition among all teams representing nearly 40 Historically Black
Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The topic was Brexit: How
it will affect Europe and the USA. The Shaw team prepared a short talk addressing immigration, foreign policy, trade, and economics.

Dr. Sharron Hunter-Rainey, Experiential Learning and Career Development director, accompanied the students on this professional development and networking experience.
