PBS NC Finding Your Roots Screening & Virtual Panel Discussion Event

On January 12th at 6pm PBS NC hosted a preview screening of excerpts from Season 8 of the acclaimed series, "Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates."  Following the screening, Deborah Holt Noel, senior producer and host of PBS NC’s Black Issues Forum and North Carolina Weekend, lead panel in conversation about starting your family heritage journey with the panelists listed below representing the Wake County Enslaved Persons Project, UNC Greensboro’s People Not Property: Slave Deeds project noted genealogists.  They discussed available resources and how to preserve documents and photographs. The panelists included:
