Cultural and Spiritual Enrichment Seminars (CASES)

Cultural and Spiritual Enrichment Seminars (CASES) is a graduation requirement for all students. There will be four (4) CASES events each semester. To be eligible for graduation students must attend a total of eight (8) CASES approved events, most students will meet the requirements by completion of their first school year. 

For the mandatory events, attendance will be taken and recorded. For these events, you must wear proper CASES attire as mandated in the university catalog. The Shaw University blazer, tie and scarf is provided to each student.

  • Martin Luther King Jr Celebration: Thursday, Jan 20, 2022
  • NC Museum of History - African American Cultural Celebration: Saturday, Jan 29, 2022 – Online
  • Religious Emphasis Program: Thursday, Feb 3, 2022 11am
  • Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Festival: Saturday, March 12, 2022

*CASES Attire required for Event

Note: Due to COVID 19, many events will be virtual and students will not be required to wear the CASES attire during those events.
