    Shaw University New Student Orientation

Congrats on your admission to Shaw University!

You are officially one of the newest members of the Shaw Bear family. We are committed to transforming you into a global leader, who will make an incredible impact on the world in which we live. The goal of New Student Orientation is to introduce students and families to campus services, resources and the expectations of collegiate life at Shaw University. During New Student Orientation, students and families attend information sessions, participate in social activities, work with peer orientation mentors and sit with an academic advisor to discuss your career pursuits, then register for courses. Orientation is a one-day event and begins at 8:00 a.m. and usually ends around 5:00 p.m.

If you are unable to attend Orientation on Friday or Saturday, please contact the Office of Student Retention at 919-719-1998, e-mail Ms. Doris Bullock at or report to Yancy Building Suite 233, Room 223.
